"Is there anything ready to eat? Chocolate, cookies or something would do for now!"

Lin Jie watched as An Kexin expertly added some water to a cooking pot, placed it on the stove to boil, and took peeled fresh shrimp, greens, sliced meat, eggs, and a small bunch of fresh noodles from the fridge.

"I knew you'd be hungry waking up at night, so I prepared beforehand. I'm making our Lin Family's traditional signature noodles: shrimp, meat, greens, and egg noodles."

"These noodles were hand-rolled by the yacht's chef, very chewy."

An Kexin took some cooked food from the fridge and methodically sliced it.

Lin Jie leaned against the kitchen door frame, quietly watching her work, a sense of happiness flooding through him, giving him a bit of a homey feeling.

"Kexin, did anything interesting happen at the marriage banquet after I passed out drunk?"

"Interesting?"
