Chapter 510 - 274: Emperor’s Twin Hammers (2/2)
At this moment, the Drow guards at the entrance, recognizing a familiar face, immediately greeted—"Captain Isaiah," without blocking him.
This allowed Raine to realize that the character he was playing, little Kalam, was actually a captain.
According to the map markings seen in Zaryan’s room, Raine, while playing the role of the guard captain, nodded to the surrounding guards and proceeded towards the location of the Hernet Family vault.
The location of the family vault was at the rear of the main building, beneath an independent structure.
When Raine arrived, he found the entrance was heavily guarded with four fully armed Drow elites, and upon seeing Raine approach, the leading guard was somewhat surprised and asked, "Isaiah, why are you here?"
"I am here on the orders of the head guard to reinforce the vigilance here."
"Hmm? Does the head guard suspect a diversion attack?" The guard was evidently puzzled and asked.
"Yeah! Didn’t they say there was a problem over at the Forging Workshop?"
The other three guards, upon hearing this, began to whisper among themselves.
Raine silently approached them from behind, his gaze fixed on the almost defenseless and casually chatting Drow guards, and immediately raised the Warhammer high.
"Boom!!"
With his right foot lifted and stomped heavily downward!
An invisible vibration wave instantly spread out.
The four Drow elites, despite having classes levels exceeding Level 5, were instantly stunned on the spot.
"Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!"
Four crisp headshots sounded, and the floor was immediately splattered with four puddles of red and white fan-shaped scatter patterns.
Subsequently, Raine no longer concealed himself, shook the filth off the Warhammer, and immediately turned and charged inside.
"Captain Isaiah!"
"Pop! Pop!"
Whenever patrol or guards saw the transformed Captain Isaiah in Raine, they would stop to greet or question with surprise.
Raine seized the opportunity to swiftly kill the unsuspecting guards instantly.
Until passing a descending staircase corner and arriving at the lowest underground passage, he stopped and looked ahead.
Directly ahead was a passage barely wide enough to accommodate three people walking side by side.
The walls, floor, and ceiling of the passage were adorned with fine lines visible to the naked eye, intermittently flickering with magic radiance.
At the passage’s bottom were two Drow guards and a spider the size of a millstone, and... the figure that drew most of Raine’s attention—a Drow High-tier Priestess.
"Huh? I just heard that a spy had infiltrated the camp."
"Unexpectedly, there’s really someone daring enough to come to the family vault side?"
The Drow High-tier Priestess Natalia raised her crystal clear eyes tinged with red, glanced at Raine, first displaying seriousness, but then suddenly relaxing.
The reason was simple, because she couldn’t sense the extraordinary aura exclusive to the strong from Raine.
In other words, whether this man pretending to be the same race was human or not, his own strength was likely below transcendent.
To Natalia, below transcendent was already a distant term.
Having entered the transcendent realm for at least over a hundred and twenty years now, she was already a female priest of extraordinary high tier, a member of the Hernet family’s highest council.
Realistically, even for the other eleven high-tier priests of equal standing with her, it would be hard to take an enemy of ’little thief’ level seriously.
Thus, when her eyes reflected Raine smoothly wielding the Warhammer to kill two Drow guards and charge at her, she raised her eyebrows with interest and remarked:
"Handled the Warhammer well."
"With the strength augment, barely reaching the threshold of the transcendent."
"No wonder you have the courage to come to the family vault."
"But unfortunately, everything ends here."
With that, Natalia smiled, raised her slender fingers, and pointed at Raine.
A soft black beam shot towards Raine, instantly wrapping around his sprinting body, quickly binding him.
But the next instant, Natalia’s pupils suddenly tightened!
Only to see the enemy who disguised as a guard before them, rapidly swelled with muscle, especially his chest expanding significantly, and the ropes formed by the erosion energy instantly snapped, breaking into star-like black fragments, dispersing in the surrounding air.
Thoughts such as "Can he break through the bindings of erosion energy? Does he have special magic equipment?" flashed like a carousel in her mind, while the enemy made a roar, and the next moment, a visible air ripple rushed towards her!
Like a real giant dragon roaring at her!
This set off alarm bells in Natalia’s heart, with a black energy shield immediately surfacing around her body, while the pendant around her neck and the necklace on her wrist flashed with a magic radiance, adding two additional layers of shields of different hues to her body.
As a high-tier priest Natalia, her three-layer magic shield was in place within moments.
Yet, the bloodline Arachne on the side suffered a mishap.
"Crack!"
Though it had the special role of bloodline detection, its own level was not very high, facing the suddenly overwhelming sound wave attack, its outer shell cracked instantaneously, with foul-smelling dark green bodily fluids splattering from the fractured chitin shell.
