Chapter 703 Long Gui's Expectations
Chapter 703 Long Gui's Expectations
“A deep red V-neck?” Yuko looked at the fabric in Yoruichi’s hand, her lips twitching. “Yoruichi, do you have some kind of misunderstanding about the teaching profession? If you wear this kind of clothing to go out with students, I’ll be complained about so much that I won’t even be able to finish writing my resignation letter by the next day.”
"What does it matter?" Yoruichi said dismissively, picking up the swimsuit and holding it up against Ikuko. "At worst, I can just go back to my old profession, right?"
"Exactly!" Masaki chimed in, fanning the flames. "Although it's quite daring, Yuuko's cool and aloof demeanor is definitely enough to pull it off!"
"Cold and aloof?" Yoruichi observed Yuuko suspiciously for two seconds. If she didn't speak, she did indeed seem that way.
Without a second thought, Yu Zi crossed her hands and said, "Rejected."
She turned and walked to the other shelf, where some relatively plain swimsuits were hanging.
Ochi Miyu, watching from the side, was a little dazzled. She clutched the pink ruffled swimsuit tightly in her hand and sighed softly, "Your friend is really something else."
I never expected Mrs. Kurosaki to be so unconventional.
"Don't mind them, they're just going through menopause." Yu Zi casually picked up a long-sleeved two-piece swimsuit. "How about this one?"
Miyu glanced at it, then hesitated, "Isn't it too plain? Although it suits your style, Yuko, it's a rare trip to the beach..."
The swimsuit consisted of a long-sleeved blue lace top and a matching blue lace skirt. This style could only be described as plain on the beach, hardly better than a dress.
"It's better to keep it simple. If you accidentally encounter a shark, this color won't easily attract attention."
Miyu was somewhat embarrassed: "...There shouldn't be any sharks in the waters near Karakura Town, right?"
"This is called prevention," Yu Zi said in a serious tone, though she simply didn't want to dress too conspicuously.
"Ah! It's Ms. Yuko!"
Just as Yuko was about to take the dark blue swimsuit to the fitting room to end the dispute, a cheerful and slightly ditzy voice came from the adjacent shelf area.
Yuko froze. That voice… if things went wrong, it should be…
She turned her head expressionlessly and saw Inoue Orihime leading Arisawa Tatsuki towards her.
They looked like a couple strolling through the streets.
Otherwise, you two can get along.
This idea popped into Yuko's mind for no apparent reason.
"It really is Ms. Yuuko! Oh, and Ms. Miyu too!" Inoue Orihime waved excitedly and walked over quickly. "What a coincidence! Are you teachers here to buy swimsuits too?"
"Ah, it's Inoue and Tatsuki." Ikuko tried her best to smile.
Being caught by students picking out swimsuits and stuff makes me feel inexplicably embarrassed!
When Ochi Miyu saw the large swimsuit in Inoue Orihime's hand, she looked down at herself and said somewhat hesitantly, "What a coincidence. Are you also preparing for your beach trip in a couple of days?"
Damn it! I can tolerate Yuko, but why is it a student so much younger than me too?!
"Mmm!" Orihime responded obediently to Miyu first, then pouted at Ikuko, "Why does the teacher only call Tatsuki by his name?"
Yuko looked at Tatsuki: "Because I've known Tatsuki for longer, I can call him by his name if Orihime wants."
Long Gui seemed somewhat absent-minded, and when he saw Yu Zi looking at him, his eyes drifted away unnaturally.
As expected of a dragon of noble birth.
Seeing Ryuki's reaction, Yuko immediately realized it.
"Eh? Yoruichi-san?" At that moment, Orihime saw Yoruichi's figure and couldn't help but call out.
Miyu blinked: "Eh? Inoue-kun knows Ikuko's friend?"
“Hmm, before, at the corpse…” Inoue Orihime blinked her innocent big eyes and tapped her chin with her finger.
Just as Inoue Orihime was about to say that she had seen Yoruichi's true face in Soul Society, Ikuko reacted quickly, taking a step forward and covering Inoue Orihime's mouth with her hand.
"Ugh?!" Inoue Orihime let out a cute muffled groan.
"It's my house, it's my house." Yuko lied without batting an eye. "When this child came to my house to deliver homework, it just so happened that Yoruichi was visiting, right?"
As she spoke, Yuko gave Yoruichi a wink.
Yoruichi immediately understood and smiled brightly: "That's right, that's right, it was around that time. This child is very polite, although a little airheaded."
"I see." Ochi Miyu suddenly understood, without any doubt, and even with admiration, "Ikuko really has a good relationship with her students in private."
"I guess so." Yuko released her hand and whispered in Orihime's ear, "I'll treat you to a big meal later, so don't say anything out of line."
Orihime immediately covered her mouth and nodded frantically, appearing determined to keep it a secret.
"Since we've run into each other, let's pick one together." Masaki walked over with a smile, her eyes lighting up as she looked at the swimsuit in Orihime's hand. "Oh my, this one is so cute, but isn't it a little too small?"
It was a bright yellow bikini adorned with a few sunflowers, giving it a summery feel.
Orihime scratched her head shyly: "Really? I also feel it's a little...tight."
"It's not a problem with the tightness, it's a problem with the fabric!" Ochi Miyu looked at Orihime's outrageous figure, then looked down at the padded swimsuit she had specially chosen to show off her figure, and felt a pang of sadness. She silently hung the swimsuit back on the rack.
Looking at the others...
"God, this is not fair," Mei Yu cried in her heart.
Yoruichi then noticed the swimsuit in Ikuko's hand: "No way? You chose this one?"
"What is the problem?"
Yoruichi looked her up and down, her face full of disdain, and said, "You really are rich and stingy."
“Rich and stingy…?” Yuko repeated the word, a vein throbbing slightly on her forehead. “Yoruichi, if you’re trying to say I’m hiding good things, you can just say so.”
"Oh dear, did you catch me?" Yoruichi showed no remorse, instead leaning even closer, almost breathing into Yuuko's ear. "You're so beautiful, yet you always keep yourself so covered up. What? Is Yuuko the kind of conservative who only unbuttons her clothes in front of someone she likes?"
Yuko: "...There are minors here, you bastard."
Yoruichi gave a cold laugh and took the V-shaped swimsuit from behind her back: "Choose, Yuuko."
On the other side, Masaki brought out a leopard-print bikini.
Yuko's lips twitched: "You really are persistent."
Ignoring Yuuko's complaints, Yoruichi said calmly, "Do you think you can still resist?"
Beside her was Inoue Orihime, who was eager to join.
As for Miyu, she has been so devastated that her art style has become gloomy.
"..."
Finally, Yuko paid the price of swiping her card and successfully defended the blue two-piece swimsuit from everyone.
……
Several days later, at the seaside.
Azure sea and sky, white waves chasing the sand.
"The ocean! Beautiful ladies! I'm here!!"
Asano Keigo rushed into the sea like a madman, only to be overturned by a wave and slapped back onto the beach like a salted fish.
"What an idiot." Ichigo, wearing beach shorts and carrying a parasol, watched the scene with a speechless expression.
"Kurosaki, aren't you going swimming?" Chad, shirtless and showing off his muscular physique, made the girls around him drool.
"Wait a minute, let's tie the umbrella up first." Ichigo stuck the parasol into the sand.
Not far away, Orihime Inoue was building a sandcastle with Tatsuki.
"Oh, youth is wonderful." Ochi Miyu took an iced drink from the basket. "It's a pity that Ishida couldn't come because he had something to do."
"Yes, that's how their family is."
They're just a bunch of arrogant tsundere types.
Miyu asked, "Where is Miss Yoruichi? Have they arrived yet?"
Yuko picked up her phone and checked the messages: "I don't know."
Because they wanted to come with the students, there wasn't enough room in the vehicle, so they didn't come with Yoruichi and the Kurosaki family.
Well, Ichigo sat down because the seat was just right.
"I see." Miyu nodded. "By the way, Yuko, aren't you coming along?"
Yuko was wearing large sunglasses, lying on a beach chair, with a large towel covering her stomach.
"I'm photosynthesizing," Yuko replied lazily, "to replenish the chlorophyll I've lost during this time."
"Are you a plant?!" Ichigo walked over and couldn't help but retort.
"Pretty much, they're all living things anyway." Yu Zi pulled down her sunglasses a little, revealing a pair of dead fish eyes. "What? Kid, not going to bother the older ladies anymore?"
"Who...who's harassing me!" Ichigo blushed and said angrily, "I came to ask you if you want some watermelon!"
That despicable soul! He's ruined his reputation!
Fortunately, only his family knew, and his classmates were unaware, otherwise he would have been in real trouble.
"Watermelon?" Yu Zi sat up. "That's a good option."
She lifted the towel, revealing a two-piece blue floral swimsuit. Her fair skin was exposed, making her look very delicate, and her fingers and toes were manicured in black.
It's just a natural result of becoming a ghost.
Ichigo paused for a moment, then subconsciously looked away.
Although I'm used to getting beaten up by Yu Zi, I have to admit that this guy's physique is just too good.
"What? Stunned?" Miyu teased. "Ichigo is definitely a boy going through puberty."
"Shut up! So annoying!" Ichigo ran away in a huff and puff.
The watermelon-cutting activity took place amidst laughter and cheers.
Chad once again demonstrated his superhuman strength. With just a light swing of his wooden sword, not only did the watermelon shatter, but the base underneath was also split in two, and the wooden sword was deeply embedded in the sand.
"Chad-kun...you're amazing..." Inoue Orihime exclaimed, holding a piece of the surviving watermelon.
"Sorry, I didn't control my strength well." Chad scratched his head sheepishly.
Yuko sat to the side eating watermelon, but her gaze passed over everyone and landed on Longgui, who was sitting alone on the rocks by the sea.
Ever since arriving at the seaside, Longgui's mood seemed rather low. Although he was smiling, it always felt like he was forcing it.
As expected, it's because...
"I'm going for a walk." Yuko stood up, brought back a slice of watermelon for Miyu, gave a shout to her, and walked towards the reef, the sea breeze carrying a salty, damp scent that brushed against her cheeks.
Longgui sat on the rocks, hugging her knees, staring blankly at the distant horizon. Hearing footsteps, she turned around, saw Yuzi, and quickly tried to stand up.
"Sit down, don't be so formal." Yu Zi waved her hand and sat down on a rock next to her. "Why don't you go play?"
"I'm a little tired." Long Gui lowered his head, watching the waves crashing against the rocks at his feet. "And... I feel like I don't quite fit in."
Long Gui raised his head and looked at the sea with some confusion: "It feels like everyone is running towards a place I can't see, and I'm the only one left behind."
"...Teacher, you're the same."
Yuko was silent for a moment: "You've seen it, haven't you?"
"Well, I initially just received a call from Ms. Miyu, wanting to come to your house to see her." Ryuki hugged his knees. "I saw that your door was closed and you weren't answering your calls, so I was planning to leave."
"But then we heard a bell ringing from upstairs..."
Yuko was stunned for a moment. So when she hid the body, she forgot to turn off her phone?
“I was worried that something might have happened to the teacher, so I climbed up from the second floor into the bedroom, and then…” She didn’t say anything more.
After a long while, Ryuki forced a smile and turned to look at Yuuko: "Orihime, Ichigo, Chad, and Ishida..."
"Teacher, you're the same."
"You're all in the same world, aren't you?"
"Knowing the truth isn't necessarily a good thing, Ryuki." Yuko gazed at the horizon, her tone calm yet carrying a subtle tenderness. "Ichigo and the others' experiences were extremely dangerous."
Ryuki does not possess the Fullbring ability like Orihime or Chad, nor is he a Quincy, and he has not obtained the power of a Shinigami.
In other words, she was an ordinary person without any talent.
Even if one can see souls or illusions, it's just that their spiritual power is slightly stronger.
Even her spiritual power only became stronger because Ichigo couldn't control the leakage of his own spiritual power.
"What about Orihime? What about Ichigo?" Tatsuki asked, his voice trembling with emotion. "They're all there! I was the only one kept in the dark! I'm Orihime's best friend! I swore to protect her!"
Her words trailed off abruptly, and after a moment of silence, she cautiously said, "I'm sorry, teacher."
wow...
The atmosphere froze, and for a moment only the sound of waves crashing against the rocks could be heard.
Yuko slowly stood up, and Ryuki buried her head in her thighs. Just when she thought Yuko would leave,
"After you return from this trip, wait for me at the dojo you frequent. I have something I want to teach you."
Longgui turned around in surprise, only to see Yuzi's departing figure.
Without Fullbring and Quincy blood, is it really impossible for humans to fight Hollows?
Obviously not.
In essence, death is no different from humans.
