Chapter 100 Noble Lady, Requesting an Audience
"I was worried you'd be too scared to sleep, so I came to keep you company." Wen Tingye hugged her, not even lifting his eyebrows, his voice husky and sexy.
The person in his arms was extremely restless, constantly moving in front of him. Wen Tingye narrowed his eyes, hiding his affection.
She's not a hothouse flower, so what?
"I'm not that timid. Go back to your room. I don't need you to come with me!" Ning Yao said to Wen Tingye in an annoyed tone.
Wen Tingye's breath sprayed onto the back of Ning Yao's neck, and Ning Yao felt her body go numb instantly.
She tried to move forward, but Wen Tingye moved closer to her back, keeping her from getting too far away.
With the last vestiges of her reason, Ning Yao pushed Wen Tingye away, rolled off the bed, and stood barefoot on the bedroom floor, her beautiful fox-like eyes glaring angrily at the man on the bed.
Wen Tingye raised his hand to support his head, staring with great interest at Ning Yao's black hair that was frizzy from static electricity.
Her nightgown was already disheveled from his movements, but instead of looking embarrassed, it exuded a wild allure.
Ning Yao was extremely thirsty, so she walked to the table, poured herself a glass of cold water, and gulped it down.
After drinking the water, she slammed the glass down and turned to look at Wen Tingye. Ning Yao's cheeks were flushed, like a sweet and delicious peach, and her watery eyes were filled with annoyance, clearly showing her displeasure at being teased.
Wen Tingye raised his hand and patted the bed beside him, signaling Ning Yao to come back to his side.
Ning Yao sneered, completely ignoring Wen Tingye's actions.
Has she gone mad? Why is she going back to him? Isn't that like a lamb entering a tiger's den?
"If you want to get back to China smoothly tomorrow, then you'd better lie down next to me obediently."
"What do you mean?"
"You think that by changing your ticket, the other party won't know your whereabouts?"
All of Ning Yao's actions were under Wen Tingye's control. Since Wen Tingye knew that she had changed her ticket, it wouldn't be difficult for him to find out where she went with a little effort.
"What, scared?" Wen Tingye looked at Ning Yao, his tone somewhat provocative.
Seeing Ning Yao hesitate, Wen Tingye added, "We have to leave very early tomorrow. Come over and lie down to rest. I won't touch you."
Ning Yao looked at Wen Tingye suspiciously, as if trying to determine whether his words were true or false.
In the end, Wen Tingye simply held her and did nothing else. Ning Yao slept soundly all night with her head on Wen Tingye's arm.
The next day.
Wen Tingye personally escorted Ning Yao to his private airport and arranged for his private jet to take her back to China.
Ning Yao stood on the airport lawn, raised an eyebrow at Wen Tingye's private jet not far away, and pouted, saying, "He clearly has his own private jet, but he still travels on domestic flights. Mr. Wen is really low-key."
“Yeah, it’s easier to have a first-class bump into someone if we keep a low profile,” Wen Tingye replied with a smile, not paying any attention to Ning Yao’s tone.
Just before boarding the plane, Wen Tingye reached out and touched Ning Yao's hair, whispering a few words of advice.
"My people will escort you back to China and protect you 24 hours a day. You can do whatever you need to do without worry."
Who's worried?
Ning Yao gave Wen Tingye a forced smile and waved before turning around and boarding the plane without looking back.
Once on the plane, she discovered that this private jet was anything but ordinary in its luxury. It was fully equipped with everything one could need, including servants, a cook, genuine leather interiors, sofas, beds, a bathroom, and a sound system.
Wen Tingye's assistant was sitting in the cabin. When Ning Yao came in, he stood up and nodded in greeting.
After the ground crew completed the inspection, the plane circled the tarmac once before slowly taking off.
The sky was azure, and the clouds were thin and white; it was a lovely day.
Once the cabin was stable, Ning Yao got up from the sofa and unbuckled her seatbelt.
"Does your CEO Wen also know how to disguise himself?" Ning Yao asked her assistant casually.
"President Wen is a very capable person. He's not just good at disguise; he knows a lot more." The assistant spoke highly of Wen Tingye.
"What exactly is his identity in Country Y? Why are so many people afraid of him?" Ning Yao asked casually, but in reality, she was trying to lower her assistant's guard and get the information she wanted through small talk.
"Miss Ning Yao can be interpreted as the unparalleled queen of the underground kingdom of Y country."
Ning Yao glanced at her assistant's arrogant and conceited demeanor and scoffed inwardly.
What's so great about being a king? He's still underground.
She lay down on the bed, secretly marveling at how comfortable private jets were, with ample space and food far superior to that on commercial airliners.
On Wen Tingye's end, he waited until the plane took off before turning away and leaving the airport.
After receiving a phone call in the car, he asked his subordinates in a deep voice.
"How's it going at the airport?"
"As you predicted, Duke Argyll did indeed arrange for an assassin to appear at the airport just after Miss Bella changed her flight."
"Tell the people at the airport to be more discreet."
"Yes!"
Wen Tingye signaled the driver to start the car, and the driver quickly started the car and headed to the location Wen Tingye had specified.
Wen Tingye opened his portable laptop, sent the compiled information on the Duke of Argyll's family to Bruce, then closed the laptop, leaned back in his chair, and closed his eyes slightly. He didn't need to do the rest himself.
Bruce is a smart man. Knowing the weakness of the Duke of Argyll's family, taking them down in one fell swoop is not a problem.
"Keep a close eye on the Bosleyan family," Wen Tingye instructed with his eyes closed.
His subordinates, of course, obeyed without hesitation, nodding in agreement.
Wen Tingye, leaning against the back of the seat, slightly raised his eyebrows.
The Bosleyan family had close ties with Wen Erye, and they thought their plan was foolproof, unaware that he had such an underground party identity in Y country.
Second Master Wen's ambition has been exposed, but Wen Tingye does not intend to tell Old Master Wen about it.
He planned to expedite the process and quietly handle things here so he could return home as soon as possible.
Back at the manor, Wen Tingye entered the castle. The butler was waiting at the door. Upon seeing Wen Tingye return, he hurried forward and bowed.
"Master, a young lady from a royal family requests an audience with you. I have already brought her to the reception room to entertain her, and we are waiting for your return."
