Chapter 64 Financial Upheaval
Chapter 64 Financial Upheaval
"One million?"
"Ten million!"
Wang Xiaomeng then asked, "What about Jiang Ming?"
"Jiang Ming? Isn't all the money in the finance department his? He's probably going to empty the company out of cash."
"How much do you think our boss will get?" Jiang Xia asked mysteriously.
"That woman is half of it, otherwise she wouldn't be teasing them. Everyone knows that embezzling public funds is illegal, and our boss has done it many times."
Wang Xiaomeng suddenly opened her eyes wide and asked Jiang Xia, "Do you think Jiang Ming will try to shift all the blame onto that person in our department?"
Jiang Xia realized the seriousness of the problem and whispered a reminder: "Stop talking, it's getting worse!"
Sure enough, when Song Jianguo called Jiang Ming to ask about the 120 million yuan advance payment, he shifted the responsibility to Liu Juan, the head of the finance department.
"Dad! Wasn't this money used for investment projects? Ask Liu Juan about the specific disbursement procedures; she knows."
Song Jianguo then called Liu Juan, but found that her phone was switched off.
Song Jianguo asked Zhang Yao to go to Zhang Juan's office to call her, but the people in the office said that she had left at noon.
Song Jianguo called Jiang Ming again.
"Dad! Is there anything else? Ask Liu Juan about the financial matters, I don't know anything about it." He pushed Song Jianguo away before he could speak.
"You don't know? It has your signature on it, how can you not know?"
Jiang Mingzao had already prepared a trick, and then replied, "Your signature is also on it, so you should know better than me."
Every time Jiang Ming transferred money, he would get Song Jianguo to sign it to ensure everything was in order. And after each signature, he would change the contents of the document, leaving only the last one.
After being rebuked by Jiang Ming, Song Jianguo gritted his teeth in anger and said, "Jiang Ming, you'd better find Liu Juan, or I'll call the police."
Upon hearing that the police had been called, Jiang Ming changed his tone: "Dad! Have you forgotten that this money was invested in the entertainment center project, which later failed to make money and closed down?"
Song Jianguo recalled that he initially disagreed with the entertainment center project, but Jiang Ming persuaded him relentlessly, saying it would make money. At the time, Song Jianguo said he would try it on a small scale, but he did not agree to invest so much.
The entertainment center only operated for one year before it was forced to close down due to financial difficulties.
Song Jianguo thought that it might be a scheme by Jiang Ming to transfer assets.
After returning to the company, Song Qiao went to Song Jianguo's office first. When she heard that Jiang Ming had invested 120 million yuan in the entertainment city, she was so angry that she went straight to his office.
"Mr. Jiang, you've squandered 120 million yuan on the entertainment center in just one year. Show me the details, what exactly did you buy?"
Hearing Song Qiao's words, Jiang Ming looked angry: "Qiao Qiao, I told you about investing in this entertainment center back then, and you even said it might work, so let's give it a try. Now that the entertainment center has closed down, you're blaming me for everything. I'm your husband, after all!"
Song Qiao looked at him coldly: "I didn't say you weren't my husband. If you weren't my husband, you would be inside working on a sewing machine by now."
Song Qiao turned to look at Wang Lianhe, whom she had walked with: "President Wang, continue the investigation and see how much money in the company is missing. Wasn't Liu Juan missing? Call the police!"
After saying this, Song Qiao took out her phone and dialed the police number under Jiang Ming's worried gaze.
Wang Lianhe gave Jiang Ming a cold look before returning to check the accounts.
Song Qiao looked at Jiang Ming: "You asked Zhao Xiaoya to see Ranran off, did she get her off?"
Jiang Ming glared at her angrily: "No! I'm going home. I'm calling the kindergarten right now."
"You call to complain about the kindergarten? How dare you call a student like your daughter? All twenty-two students in the class have been beaten by Jiang Xiaoran. The only thing the education bureau will tell you when you call is to take your child to the hospital for a checkup to see if she has violent tendencies!"
"To be so young and already has violent tendencies, to put it bluntly, it means she's not mentally stable." Upon hearing this, Jiang Ming looked at Song Qiao and said, "Then what should we do? We can't just not let her go to school, can we? How about this, you stay home and take care of the child. Our mother doesn't know how to discipline children; she just spoils them."
Song Qiao looked at Jiang Ming for five minutes and said, "Why don't we take her to the hospital for a checkup? Does this child have ADHD? Or some other problem?"
"Song Qiao, why do you think like that? She's just a child."
Jiang Ming was afraid that Song Qiaozhen would take Jiang Xiaoran for a check-up, so he changed his tone: "I admit that in the past, Mom and I spoiled the child. You taught us to be a burden to you. Don't worry, as long as you go home to take care of her, we won't stop you from disciplining her no matter what."
Jiang Ming had already realized that if Song Qiao continued to stay at the company, the money he had transferred would soon be discovered.
Song Qiao smiled. She was certain that not only would she not go home to work as a nanny, but from now on, she could no longer live at home. Who knew what Jiang Ming and Zhang Dalan might do?
"Jiang Ming! I can't go home to take care of the kids. And I'm telling you, I'm never going back to that house again."
Song Jianguo has already given her the keys to the house that was used to settle the debt. Song Qiao is currently having someone renovate it, and she will move in once the renovation is complete.
"If you don't go back, where will you go?"
Jiang Ming opened his eyes wide, staring at her with a fierce look in them.
"I live in the company apartment!"
Upon hearing that Song Qiao was living in the company apartment, Jiang Ming angrily shouted, "We're not divorced yet! What kind of person lives in the company apartment? Are you having an affair?"
Song Qiao looked at him coldly: "Am I having an affair, or are you having an affair? Jiang Ming, let's get a divorce!"
To keep him guessing, she said, "You can have the child if you want, or I can have it if you don't. I can't stand your mother anymore."
Song Qiao only brought up divorce to find a reason to leave home. She knew Jiang Ming would not agree, and she didn't intend to divorce right now, as the company's accounts hadn't been cleared up yet.
"Divorce, you want? Don't even think about it!"
Song Qiao knew that the urban construction company was Jiang Ming's last target, and he wouldn't give up on it so easily.
"You don't want a divorce, huh? Fine, but explain every single account of the company to me. You've been managing it all these years, so don't try to pin everything on my dad. And Liu Juan, find her immediately. If you don't, it'll be too late by the time the police find her!"
"Song Qiao, how would I know where Liu Juan went?" Jiang Ming said this with obvious lack of confidence.
Song Qiao glanced at him and left the office.
Back in her office, Song Qiao called Liu Yan's husband, Zhang Xiaodong.
At this moment, Zhang Xiaodong was working on the construction site. He was a materials statistician. He used to be a loader. Last time, Song Qiao asked Jiang Ming to transfer him to the position of materials statistician because Liu Yan's cousin had helped them.
Zhang Xiaodong was distributing materials when he saw his phone ring: "Hello! Who is it?"
"Brother Zhang, it's me, Song Qiao. I need to talk to you. Can you come to the company?"
