Transmigrating to a Female-Dominated World: Handsome Men Keep Chasing After Me

Chapter 52

Chapter 52

He held Nalan Jingwen and wept uncontrollably, his shoulders soaked with tears, as he sobbed about his grievances.

"Even my mother wouldn't dare hit me, and you hit me so hard..."

Nalan Jingwen didn't move, listening to him vent, and asked, "Does it hurt a lot?"

"What do you think?!"

Pei Yunche raised his voice, making his accusations.

Nalan Jingwen lowered her eyes, placed her hand on his buttocks, and used her inner strength to relieve his pain. Pei Yunche felt a warm and comfortable sensation on his buttocks. He groaned twice, and his crying gradually stopped, but he was still aggrieved. He held her tightly and buried his face in her neck.

Nalan Jingwen patted his buttocks, "If it doesn't hurt anymore, get off me."

"No! If you touched me, you have to take responsibility for me! I won't let go! I'd rather die than let go!"

Pei Yunche simply resorted to shamelessness, wrapping his legs around her waist and hanging on her like a koala.

Nalan Jingwen: "..."

"I'll say it again, get out!"

She lowered her voice, her tone dangerous.

Pei Yunche still wouldn't let go. "I won't let go! Either you throw me out so they can all see I came out of your room, then I'll marry you; or you beat me to death. I'm not letting go!"

Nalan Jingwen had a headache. In her nearly thirty years of life, she dared to say that she had never seen such a shameless person.

"Come down first, I have something to ask you."

She softened her tone and coaxed.

Pei Yunche shook his head and snuggled closer to her.

"You can even ask that?"

Nalan Jingwen's eyes darkened slightly as he pulled the person clinging to him off and threw them onto the bed.

Pei Yunche was caught off guard and pulled down. Before he could even steady himself, he grabbed the blanket and covered himself up.

Nalan Jingwen frowned, pulled away his blanket, and yanked him up. Sure enough, he saw that the man's cheeks were flushed and his eyes were glistening with tears, making him exceptionally beautiful and charming under the moonlight.

Pei Yunche avoided looking at her, while Nalan Jingwen's lips curled slightly.

"Now you know how to be shy?"

"You bastard!"

His face was lightly powdered, and his watery eyes glared at her, but without any intimidation. He struggled to free himself from her grasp, but Nalan Jingwen was too strong. His struggle was in vain, and he tried to throw himself into her arms.

Nalan Jingwen anticipated this and took a few steps back. The man missed his target and fell to the ground. Nalan Jingwen quickly caught him and pulled him back, otherwise he would have been truly disfigured.

A simple grappling move was used to restrain his hands behind his back, rendering him unable to move.

"Can I ask now?"

Pei Yunche glared angrily, then turned away, refusing to look at her.

Nalan Jingwen was not annoyed and asked, "Do you think I went to war with the army in a fit of anger because I had argued with you?"

Mentioning this, Pei Yunche's eyes reddened, and he seemed about to shed tears again, clearly feeling extremely wronged.

"Otherwise what? What else could it be but me? After we argued, I heard that you were going to marry Rong Hengyu, and then you were going to go to war with the army. You like Rong Hengyu so much, how could you go to war right after marrying her?"

Yes, the original owner liked Rong Hengyu so much, how could she have gone to war with the army so soon after marrying him, and that departure lasted for two years.

But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't remember what had happened.

She composed herself and looked at him calmly.

“I can explain this matter. My joining the army was not because of you. I cannot say the specific reason, but I can assure you it was not because of you. You don’t need to blame yourself.”

"Really? You're not kidding me?"

His eyes lit up, and a hint of tears welled up in them. Nalan Jingwen glanced at him and said calmly, "I have no reason to lie to you."

"Then why don't you come looking for me?"

Nalan Jingwen raised his hand and wiped away the tears at the corners of his eyes, saying, "I was summoned to the palace by His Majesty not long after I returned to the manor, and I didn't get back until very late, so naturally I didn't have time to look for you."

Pei Yunche was somewhat stunned, staring blankly as she wiped away his tears, warm and gentle.

She hadn't been this gentle with him in a long time. Before, she had always been cold and looked at him with disgust. But now, the woman in front of him, though expressionless, seemed to have changed in some way.

When Nalan Jing heard that he had stopped struggling, she released him and continued to ask, "General Pei is going to send you to the palace?"

Upon hearing this, Pei Yunche's eyes dimmed instantly, and he looked utterly dejected.

“Mother said that His Majesty has not had a son since he ascended the throne. Many families have sent eligible men to the palace for the imperial concubine selection, but still no one has been born. There are not many eligible men left in the capital. Mother is forcing me to go.”

Nalan Jingwen pondered deeply. Given the Pei family's status, Pei Yunche's entry into the palace was likely aimed at becoming empress. This would completely bind General Pei to the royal family. Looking across the capital, apart from Rong Hengyu, Pei Yunche was the only son of the general who could take on the role of empress.

The Pei family has always been loyal to the people and never participated in any royal struggles; they only knew how to fight. Now, is it time for them to choose sides?

"You don't want to enter the palace?"

"What do you think?! Didn't I just say that? Were you even listening to me?!"

He roared angrily.

Nalan Jingwen stared intently at him, "Do you know what title you would be given if you entered the palace?"

"I don't like anything!"

He said it without a care.

"The Empress is second only to the Emperor and above all others."

Pei Yunche's words caught in his throat, his expression wounded. Nalan Jingwen continued, "It's not necessarily a bad thing that you married my elder sister. Some things shouldn't be done impulsively."

Suddenly, Pei Yunche leaned forward and bit her lip hard, then closed his eyes and covered his ears.

"I won't listen! I don't want to hear what you have to say! Shut up! I don't want to be an empress, and I don't want to be second only to the emperor!!"

Nalan Jing felt a sharp pain, touched his lips where there was a tooth mark, and looked at the shameless man in front of him, and couldn't help but fall silent.

Just watch him until he's had enough and is tired, then he'll naturally quiet down.

Pei Yunche noticed that Nalan Jingwen didn't react, so he secretly squinted at her and saw that Nalan Jingwen was looking at him with a faint smile on her lips, with clear teeth marks on her lips.

His face suddenly flushed red, and he lowered his head.

Nalan Jingwen stood up, grabbed a coat hanging nearby and put it on, then tossed Pei Yunche's clothes to him.

"Put it on, and I'll take you back."

"I'm not going back!"

He threw the clothes back, pulled up the blanket, and crawled inside, his voice muffled.

"I won't go back, that's all. I want to marry you. I don't want to enter the palace, and I certainly don't want to be an empress."

Nalan Jingwen looked down at the bulging blanket, leaned down, and pressed his acupoints through the blanket to immobilize him. He then pressed his mute acupoint before wrapping him up in the blanket.

She picked the person up in a detached voice.

"Pei Yunche, I will not marry you."
