Chapter 15 Xiao Ling's Assistance

The two strolled through the garden of the villa, admiring the blooming flowers and chatting happily.

The thugs, undeterred, charged forward wielding their clubs. Xiao Ling, agile as ever, quickly subdued several thugs. However, the thugs outnumbered him, and Xiao Ling gradually found himself struggling to keep up.

Just then, Su Jinxiu picked up a tree branch and joined the fight. Although she didn't know martial arts, her agility and wit caused some trouble for the thugs.

After a fierce fight, Xiao Ling and Su Jinxiu finally defeated the thugs.

"Miss Su, are you alright?" Xiao Ling asked with concern.

Su Jinxiu shook her head: "I'm fine, thanks to Your Highness."

After their shared experience of fighting the enemy, the bond between Su Jinxiu and Xiao Ling deepened considerably.

Upon returning to the Marquis's residence, Su Jinxiu discovered that her room had been ransacked, and some precious jewelry was missing. She immediately realized that someone had done this intentionally.

An investigation revealed that it was the work of Su Yue's maid. Su Jinxiu decided to no longer tolerate Su Yue's provocations and informed the old lady of the matter.

The old lady was furious upon hearing this and punished Su Yue and her maid.

Su Yue harbored even more resentment towards Su Jinxiu, and she decided to find a more powerful backer to deal with Su Jinxiu.

Meanwhile, in order to protect Su Jinxiu, Xiao Ling arranged for secret guards near the Marquis's residence.

Su Jinxiu handed the pastries to Xiao Ling: "I made these myself, and I hope Your Highness likes them."

Xiao Ling took a bite of the pastry and praised it highly: "The taste is excellent, I like it very much."

In the days that followed, Su Jinxiu and Xiao Ling's feelings for each other deepened. However, their love story was not without its challenges.
