Chapter 9: A Passerby in a CEO Romance Novel (9)
"Are you Jiang Wandie?"
A sweet, unfamiliar voice called out her name.
Jiang Wandie's ears twitched slightly, and she subconsciously looked up.
She was stunned at first glance.
Even though her eyes were still blurry with tears, she could clearly see that figure.
She had never felt this way before; just looking at that person made the whole world seem bright.
That person was looking at her.
Realizing this, Jiang Wandie quickly raised her hand to wipe away her tears, feeling a surge of sorrow and resentment in her heart.
No, she shouldn't have met that person in such a disheveled state.
Le Yan approached Jiang Wandie, crouched down slightly, and tried to help her up.
"Are you alright? Can you get up?"
Jiang Wandie nodded hurriedly, but subconsciously avoided Le Yan's hand that was helping her.
It wasn't that she didn't want to, but that she was afraid her own dirt would make her uncomfortable.
Jiang Wandie lowered her head, not daring to look directly at Le Yan, afraid of seeing the disdain and displeasure in her eyes.
"I'm fine, you... you don't worry..." Jiang Wandie stammered, feeling frustrated.
Le Yan looked at her, then at the driver beside her, and asked, "Uncle Liu, what just happened?"
Driver Lao Liu said with a look of panic, "Assistant Le, this has nothing to do with me. It was this young lady who suddenly barged out. I tried my best to avoid her, but I don't know if I hit her. She's been sitting on the ground crying, and she won't get up no matter what I say."
As soon as Assistant Yue arrived, this young lady got up.
Old Liu felt extremely wronged.
"Since it's her responsibility, then it's none of your business." Gu Yunting got out of the car, his eyes darting between the three of them, full of impatience.
He hates it when people interfere with his plans.
"Leyan, come to my side." As he spoke, Gu Yunting couldn't help but reach out and pull Leyan to him.
Just as Le Yan was about to speak, another hand appeared on her left hand.
She looked over in confusion and saw Jiang Wandie looking at her with red eyes and tears welling up in her eyes, her eyes full of sorrow: "Don't go."
The cleaner, more delicate hand gripped Le Yan's wrist tightly, while Gu Yunting, who was also holding onto Le Yan, exerted force simultaneously.
On the main street, being pulled along by a man and a woman, Le Yan was somewhat at her wits' end.
She glanced at the pitiful Jiang Wandie on the left, then at the pale-faced Gu Yunting on the right, and after a moment's deliberation, she made her choice.
"Mr. Gu, please let me go."
Unable to believe what he had just heard, Gu Yunting's eyes widened. "You want me to let you go?"
Just for that woman with ulterior motives, Le Yan actually wanted him to let her go?
Seeing the hurt in Gu Yunting's eyes, Le Yan blinked rapidly. She quickly explained, "No, Mr. Gu, please listen to me. Miss Jiang is a girl after all, and she was just frightened, so she might not be feeling well..."
"You don't need to explain."
Gu Yunting didn't want to listen to her for the time being, and kept saying things he didn't want to hear.
He still didn't let go of Le Yan's hand, but looked at Jiang Wandie with a sharp expression and said coldly, "Miss Jiang, is that right? If you need to discuss a solution, please find my driver and let go of my assistant's hand."
He had already forgotten Jiang Wandie, who had briefly served as his secretary for a few days; not just anyone could make him remember them.
Jiang Wandie scoffed inwardly, her expression still sorrowful. She stubbornly looked at Le Yan and whispered, "Assistant Le, I feel so bad..."
She didn't know Le Yan's name, so she could only use the way the driver, Lao Liu, addressed her.
Before she could finish speaking, she softly collapsed towards Le Yan.
She actually fainted.
Le Yan looked flustered and instinctively shook off Gu Yunting's hand, hurriedly supporting Jiang Wandie.
"Miss Jiang? Miss Jiang?"
Calling out repeatedly, Le Yan's eyes were filled with anxiety: "President Gu, shall we get her to the hospital quickly?"
After all, it was a "car accident," and the other party involved had already fainted; they couldn't just stand by and do nothing.
Gu Yunting twitched the corner of his mouth, gestured to the driver, and said, "Just have Uncle Liu take her there. We have other things to do."
“But…” Le Yan frowned, somewhat hesitant.
Although she knew that the Gu family's driver was reliable, out of caution, she still couldn't quite accept leaving an unconscious girl alone with a man.
After thinking it over carefully, Le Yan looked at Gu Yunting and said, "Mr. Gu, I'll take her to the hospital."
“You have important things to do. I’m just sitting here doing nothing. Uncle Liu can drive you, but I don’t know how to do anything. Let me take Miss Jiang to the hospital instead.”
In Le Yan's mind, they were going to meet a client, and every time they met a client, it was President Gu who talked to the other party, while she just ate and drank on the side and did nothing. She was indeed not as good as Uncle Liu who could drive.
But Gu Yunting, who had planned everything, was different. He gritted his teeth in anger, thinking, "What's the point of just sitting there like that!"
Without someone to confess to, how can he confess his feelings?!
Seeing that Le Yan insisted, Gu Yunting closed his eyes and weighed the pros and cons in his mind before giving in and saying, "Alright, let's take her there together."
"Get in the car."
Rather than losing someone to confess to, it's better to hurry up and get rid of the obstacle, and then proceed with the plan as usual.
Gu Yunting had a hunch that this Miss Jiang who suddenly appeared was deliberately there to cause trouble.
Perhaps it was to stop him from confessing his feelings.
Since that's the case, how could he let the person behind the scenes succeed? He was determined to confess his love successfully today!
If you don't succeed, you'll become a demon!

Aikon Hospital
This is the Gu family's private hospital.
Once the person was taken to the hospital lobby, doctors and nurses who had already been informed came to take care of them.
Watching Jiang Wandie being placed on the hospital bed, Gu Yunting pulled Le Yan aside and asked, "Are you satisfied now?"
Le Yan nodded, but before she could speak, Gu Yunting had already pulled her outside.
"Now, it's time to get on with our business."
The two of them were pulling each other along when they encountered someone who knew Gu Yunting.
Shen Mubai, dressed in a white coat, stood tall and elegant, looking up at Gu Yunting and Le Yan behind him.
He asked with a hint of amusement, "What brings you here today, Mr. Gu?"
He and Gu Yunting grew up together. Because of his love for medicine, his family did not support him, so after studying medicine, he simply went to work as a doctor in the Gu family's hospital.
During the two years he worked as a doctor, Gu Yunting never appeared at the hospital, let alone came to see his childhood friend.
His appearance now is probably related to his sweetheart.
Shen Mubai's gaze fell on Le Yan, carrying a hint of flirtation. "And who is this?"
