Chapter 698: Chuckles And Laughter.

The destination this time around is the four small worlds that the Thorn House of Commerce had prepared for him. It was after he had assimilated them that he returned to the Blessed Heaven World.

This time, he went to the second heaven to hunt. Since he planned to take the slow and long approach this time, he didn’t go all out hunting the first powerful being that he saw.

Instead, he spent some time scouting and marking potential prey. He was doing this when the auction for small worlds was held.

He partook in the auction with the other divine beings. But unlike other divine beings, he was chuckling to himself the whole time.

His chuckles turned into laughter when he noticed that the seer still brought out ten small worlds. This meant that the seer had to bring out two of his reserve small worlds for the auction. He found this amusing.

Then his laughter became loud when he noticed that the starting price for the small worlds was higher than they were in the last timeline. This made Loki suspect that the seer was trying to get a higher price for the small worlds so that he could make up for the loss of the two small worlds.

What truly amused Loki about this was the fact that the small worlds were still sold for about the sale price despite the higher starting bid. After all, the divine beings bidding for the small worlds had the same amount of money.

The loss of the two small worlds hadn’t affected how much the other divine beings had to spend on their bids. So if the seer was truly trying to get a higher price, he had failed in doing so.

As he laughed, he said, "If he truly wanted to make up for their loss, his face must be bitter about now."

He didn’t let his amusement get the better of him, though. He made sure to bid when necessary, even though he was amused the whole time.

This time, Loki was able to buy three small worlds in the auction. This was partly because he was richer than he was at the previous auction. The two small worlds that he had stolen earlier truly made a difference in the amount of wealth that he had to spend.

The other reason he was able to get three small worlds was that these three were smaller than the two he bought last time. So they cost less than the two.

He still had some money left over from the purchase of the three small worlds. Unfortunately, this amount of money wasn’t enough to buy a fourth small world.

But he was disappointed a lot about this. He only chuckled to himself as he muttered, saying, "Time will tell who will have the last laugh."

After the auction, he went to the exchange point to get the coordinates of the three small worlds. The coordinates were given to him after he gave the person the world essence. Then he left the Blessed Heaven World to go and get the three small worlds.

During his journey to the three small worlds, he was worried about an ambush. This was because the seer had promised that there would be no attacks in the contract that Loki signed.

However, he still prepared himself for unexpected ambushes and battles. In fact, the thought of being ambushed filled him with some anticipation.

When he thought about being attacked right now, he grinned and said, "As long as it is not a rank 8, it will be food bringing itself into my mouth. So what’s not to like about it?"

However, the effect of the fear didn’t last forever. After two years, some divine beings decided to test fate and enter the second heaven to find spirit creatures and spirit stones.

This is why he stayed behind to hunt instead of leaving for Oceania after three years of hunting. When these daredevils entered the second heaven, and he found them, he would always let them go.

He didn’t kill anyone he found. This created the illusion that there was no danger. So more and more divine beings would enter the second heaven after a while.
